The History

Throughout his career, Lynn Kitchens has performed and appeared with greats like Dickie Betts, Les Thompson, Gary Puckett, 3 Dog Night, David Frizzell, Barbara Mandrell, Kathy Mattea and The Kentucky Headhunters representing literally hundreds of concerts in over 35 states, Canada and Mexico. He appeared in Vince Gill's video "Pocket Full Of Gold" and Jim Varney's "Earnest Scared Stupid". Mr. Kitchens' 300 song portfolio and his musical talents (duties on the bass, vocalist and producer) has allowed him to work in studios such as Star Day King, Nashville and Macon, Georgia, (555 International Records); Arrest Records, Washington, D.C., Sound Emporium, The Grand, 16th Avenue in Nashville, Wind Walker in Goodlettsville and Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee.

He also produced and performed the single "Brothers" for Mike James Productions released May 31, 1989, produced and performed on the concert for the Nashville Coalition for the Homeless at the Ace of Clubs, Nashville and has received four honorable mention awards from the Billboard Songwriting contests.

Rockin' With The Goose was originally written in October 1984 as an alternative to developing music trends at that time. Feeling that lyrical content was taking a step in the direction of explicit sexual reference and a darker message, Lynn set out to create music that kids could rock to but that didn't deliver the negative - hence Rockin' With The Goose.

Lynn believes "music of any kind, in itself, is harmless. Only when the lyrics step over the line does it do damage."

It took 18 years, a lot of rejection and a ton of persistence to see this project to fruition.

In early 2001 an angel arrived, Daniel Peterson, who by the way was the original guitarist on the 1984 demo session, came on board as executive producer which allowed Rockin' With The Goose to finally fly!

Kids of all ages will enjoy this recording, from its incredible acoustic guitar work, unbelievable horn section to its undeniably great drumming. The vocals aren't bad either. A phenomenal mastering job by veteran Jim Sandefur truly makes this recording shine.

And finally - thanks to Mother Goose for some great lyrics!!

If you have a dream and you truly believe, never ever give up and it will come true. Rockin' With The Goose is proof.
